About the practice
Where knowing you comes before treating you.
Absolute Quality Care Family Dentistry was founded by Dr. Gray A. Bailey, DDS in 2001 — built on a single conviction that no patient should ever feel unheard, unseen, or helpless in a dental chair.
Dr. Bailey's story
The experience that drew a line he has never crossed.
Dr. Bailey did not build this practice to compete with corporate dental chains on volume or insurance network participation. He built it because, as a patient in another area of healthcare, he experienced what it felt like to have his concerns dismissed, his questions brushed aside, and his trust treated as irrelevant.
That experience drew a line he has never crossed in more than two decades of practice. Every decision here — from the technology in the operatory to the way the phone is answered — flows from a single conviction rooted in Christian faith: treat others as you would want to be treated.
“We'll get into the dental stuff, but I like to know you.”
Dr. Bailey graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in 2001, with a BS in Zoology from LSU and a BS in Civil Engineering from McNeese State. He is past president of the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, a member of the ADA and Louisiana Dental Association, VP of the Jambalaya Trade Exchange, CEREC CAD/CAM certified, and LANAP certified through the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry.
How we build your plan
Every treatment plan is organized around four clinical pillars.
Not a list of products to sell — a framework Dr. Bailey uses to look at your whole mouth and your whole life, then build a plan in phases you can actually live with.
-
Periodontal health
Healthy gums are the foundation. If the foundation isn't right, nothing built on top of it lasts.
-
Caries
We address active decay before it spreads — restoring strength and stopping the slow damage that gets ignored.
-
Function
Your bite, your jaw, your ability to chew without pain. Function is what dentistry is for.
-
Esthetics
One pillar among four — never a standalone sales push. When the first three are sound, we talk about how your smile looks.
What makes it different
Not a list of features — a list of specific moments.
Each one is operational reality at Absolute Quality Care, not marketing copy.
- A welcome letter, signed by every team member.
- It arrives by mail within days of your first visit. Not an automated email — a real letter in a world of automated reminders.
- Zek, who has held more hands than most dental assistants.
- Dr. Bailey's service dog is present in the office and has laid in patients' laps during procedures to calm severe anxiety.
- Crowns sent back to the lab three times.
- Dr. Bailey has delayed restorations and remade them rather than deliver something he wouldn't put in his own mouth or his own family's.
- CEREC and Glidewell milling, in-house.
- Dual in-office milling units mean Dr. Bailey personally controls quality on every same-day crown. No external lab. No three-week temporary.
- A financial coordinator who comes to you, in the operatory.
- No awkward gap between “here's what you need” and “here's what it costs.” The plan, the timeline, and the financing happen in one room.
- Out-of-network with every insurer — by choice.
- We file claims as a courtesy, but no insurance company's reimbursement schedule decides your clinical care here.
